I use these batteries to power my 6x and 4x Astra panels. The biggest advantage for me is that these batteries have the horsepower/throughput to power these lights at full brightness. They last about 2 hours at full brightness but in the field I almost never have them on for that long or at that intensity.

I've tried batteries from Core/Switronix and they wouldn't power the light more than 50% brightness and eventually shortened the life of the battery. I've used a pair of these Gold Mount 190's for over 2 years now and they still perform like the day I bought them.

I've also used these batteries as an additional power source for my camera (C200) and monitor (SmallHD 702) via the d-tap port and it lasts for what seems like an eternity (easily a full day).

One downfall of the batteries is that the LED's indicator lights on the side of the battery don't accurately display the remaining battery. This isn't a big deal for me because I've tested them and know how long they last on a full charge. In my experience, on an Astra at full brightness, the LED's indicators will stop lighting up (signaling no power) after about an hour. However, the Astra stays on at full brightness for about another hour.

This isn't a deal breaker for me because if I'm powering a light for more than an hour, I'm usually running off AC. However, this is the reason I give it 4 stars. Some people may prefer a USB port on the battery, but in my experience, that's never been a need for me.

I just recently ordered a second pair of 190's as I've bought a second Astra panel. I believe in these batteries and they get the job done for me.

Customer service from John and Colin has been great. Any issues I've had have been remedied quickly and appropriately.
