I bought 4 of these v mount batteries over the last few years. I got two of the 190wh and two of the smaller 95wh. I was using them to power 2 camera rigs primarily. Nothing demanding or that exceeded their potential. I really gave these batteries an easy life. I only used the charger that I bought from D&O. I don't even have another v mount battery charger to charge them with so there was no way I accidentally charged them on something I shouldn't have. If the batteries were not going to be in use for at least a week I would take them down to 50%. I wouldn't store them at 100% or 0% which can be damaging for some batteries. I even emailed D&O if there was an ideal storage temperature since the manual only mentioned operating temps. I really did everything I could to make sure I could get the 500 charges stated in the description but I got no where near that. The two 190wh batteries got at most 75 cycles on them and the two 95wh got maybe 50 cycles on them before they stopped taking a charge. When I put them on the D&O charger it does a quick green flash indicating that it's not charging. One of the 190wh batteries was doing this. By some miracle I was able to get it to take a charge right before critical short film project. When it will do it again I don't know. Only one of the four batteries has not given me a problem and two are currently in operable (the two 95wh batteries). I don't get this. I'm obsessive about taking care of my gear. My gear is never left in really hot or cold environments. When not in use the batteries were always in climate controlled conditions yet 3 out of the 4 batteries I got failed way before their life expectancy. Or maybe they didn't fail and the charger is not recognizing them but I emailed D&O and got no response so I'm left to assume. The price is fantastic for a 190wh battery. You aren't going to find anything that competes with the cost per wh. Perhaps this is why. Maybe their simply not as quality made and you won't get much of a life out of these batteries. I don't think I'd have much to say if I got even 300 out of the 500 charges but less than a hundred is grossly short of what is advertised. These batteries are not that old. They should have lasted longer.
I have been very pleased with my 95W V-mount batteries until suddenly, one of them will not hold a charge. I purchased my battery less than three years ago. I definitely did not charge it 500 times. I have two and don't use them that often. I have not had them in rigorous conditions either. I need at least two as I fully committed to buying the D&O charger, so moving to another brand will be an annoying cost. I am willing to try once more, but I will have to move on to another brand if I lose another one.
Keeping with the same brand. So far it’s good and Fair Price.
I’ve purchased several 95s from DO and they all do a phenomenal job. I highly recommend them.
The battery is not delivered yet, i don't know what happened but still i don't have it here. If you could do anything to help me, that would be great. If you can't help me, then give my money back, because i feel stolen.
